The workshop will cover different aspects of OTDR technology in telecom and sensing applications. Topics include factory and field measurements, current trends in instrumentation including performance, measurement accuracy, calibration, standards and different applications in distributed and quasi-distributed sensing. Exhibitors will demo their OTDR instruments.

Traveling Information

Hudiksvall is located roughly two hours north of Stockholm in Sweden. The easiest way to travel there is to fly to Stockholm Arlanda Airport and catch the 9 o'clock X2000 train bound for Sundsvall directly beneath the airport. When arriving to Hudiksvall the workshop venue is within walking distance from the train station. The address is:

Poster Exhibition & Demonstrations

We are happy to be able to accommodate a number of product demonstrations in the conference hall as well as a poster exhibition. But space is limited so make sure to specify in the registration form if you are interested in exhibiting products or posters.

Interested in Fiber Optic Research and Development?

Acreo Fiber Optic Center invites workshop participants to visit Acreo Fiberlab in Hudiksvall and their specialty fiber drawing facility. The visitors will also get an overview of recent fiber optics development within the Center. A bus will take anyone interested in the tour from the workshop venue to the fiber lab at 15.00 on the 27th of November and have everyone at the trainstation on time for the 17.00 train bound for Stockhlm Arlanda.
